This weekend brought our return to Newquay and back to work. With the weather finally starting to clear up, boat dives are back on! Check out the Dive Newquay App or Facebook page for more information and make the most of the last of summer!
While we have been away the rest of the Dive Newquay have been kept busy despite the bad weather. Utilizing the protection that the headland provides the Gazzle, Robin has been running both a Level 1 Freediving course with the best snorkel set. Congratulations to Peter on the completion of his Freediver Level 1, from all at Dive Newquay! Tom, Belle and Sian have also been busy training some new Open Water Divers. With their students completing dives 1, 2 and 3, they are half way through and well on their way to becoming qualified divers! Meanwhile the Dive-master trainees have been kept busy in the pool perfecting their recreational skills circuits to demonstration standards, as well as making maps and emergency actions plans for some potential new shore dives.
Monday is when the diving is really kicking off again. Our 11am Try Scuba Diving session is almost full with 7 people booked in to experience something incredibly exciting and entirely new! There are also divers that we are taking over to the South Coast of Cornwall to shore dive in either Falmouth or Porthoustock. On top of all of this there are two more people booked in to begin their Open Water Diving adventure with Tom Robinson instructing. There may also be a visit to Fourth Element on the horizon, with members of the Dive Newquay team looking to equip themselves with their latest range.
If you want to get involved in any courses or just want to go diving get in contact!
